FNaF 1

The 'Rules for Safety' poster in the East Hall Corner, randomly can change to newspaper articles that reveal a lot of information on the story.  The first article says this: "Kids vanish at local pizzaria- bodies not found. Two local children were reportedly lured into a back room during the late hours of operation at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza on the night of June 26th. While video surveillance identified the man responsible and led to his capture the following morning, the children themselves were never found and are presumed dead. Police think that the suspect dressed as a company mascot to earn the children's trust." The second newspaper clipping adds on to this story, "Local pizzaria threatened with shutdown over sanitation. Local pizzaria, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza has been threatened again with shutdown by the health department over reports of foul odor coming from the much-loved animal mascots. Police were contacted when parents reportedly noticed what appeared to be blood and mucus around the eyes and mouths of the mascots. One parent alikened them to to "reanimated carcasses." The third clipping adds even more information to the incident: "Five children now reported missing. Suspect convicted. Five children are now linked to the incident at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where a man dressed as a cartoon mascot lured them into a back room. While the suspect has been charged, the bodies themselves were never found. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza has been fighting an up-hill battle ever since to convince families to return to the pizzaria. "It's a tragedy." Now, the final newspaper clipping, revealing the end of the restaurant. "Local pizzaria said to close by years end. After a long struggle to stay in business after the tragedy that took place there many years ago, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza has announced that will close by year's end. Despite a year-long search for a buyer, companies seem unwilling to be associated with the company. "These characters will live on, in the hearts of kids- these characters will live on." -CEO" These newspaper clippings only tell the minority of the story as a whole. Phone Guy mentions on the night 1 message, that the animatronics haven't been cleaned for 20+ years which would explain the odor. He also states that the animatronics used to be allowed to walk around during the day, but then there was the 'Bite of '87.' This incident included an animatronic presumably biting down on a customer's frontal lobe, causing the robots to not 'walk around.' Moving on to the Night 4 phone-call, Phone Guy is thought to have been killed by the animatronics as his message cuts short by the jumpscare scream. No one is certain of how he died but one theory is that all the animatronics supposedly 'joined together' and killed him. Anyway, this is just the beginning of the FNaF story, the lore involved in these games in incredible. Scott Cawthon (the creator) did an amazing job of hiding easter eggs and hidden 'puzzle pieces' to his games. The story is continued on the 'FNaF 2' link below the logo, click there for more lore!
